Tifa Lockhart is a player character in Square Enix's role playing game Final Fantasy VII. Created by character designer Tetsuya Nomura, she has since appeared in the fighting game Ehrgeiz and cameo appearances in other titles, as well as the CGI film sequel to Final Fantasy VII, Advent Children and related games and media as part of the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII series. She is voiced by Yuko Minaguchi in Ehrgeiz and as of Advent Children Ayumi Ito in the Japanese appearances; in English localizations, she is voiced by Rachael Leigh Cook.

China is one of the oldest nations, being depicted as immortal as well as being over 4000 years old, and is regarded as the eldest brother among the East Asian nations. As a reference to the Sino-Soviet Split, he is disturbed and distrustful of Russia. China has certain tastes for things and gets irritated if a food has a certain pattern of tastes. He is also a big fan of Hello Kitty and tends to end his sentences with the suffix -aru, which is a Japanese stereotype of how Chinese people speak, however, he replaces the customary -aru with the suffix -ahen, which means opium, when speaking to England, as a reference to the Opium Wars. He is often depicted with pandas.

Hetalia: Axis Powers is a manga and anime series by Hidekaz Himaruya placed in a World War-era setting in which the countries are represented by anthropomorphic characters. Hetalia is a made-up word combining hetare — Japanese for useless — and Italia.This is to make light of Italy's apparent cowardice during World War II.

Himaruya originally created Hetalia as an online webcomic, and so far two tankōbon have been published by Gentosha Comics, the first on March 28, 2008 and the second on December 10, 2008. The series was later adapted into drama CDs, and an anime series created by Studio Deen has also begun streaming online.

The main historical events portrayed in this work occur between World War I and World War II. The series often uses satire and comedy to address well-known and lesser-known historical facts.

North Italy: A bright and energetic nation that progressed from being the kin of Roma Antiqua, widely recognized as the strongest nation in the world, to being clumsy and irresponsible. Personified as being carefree, cowardly and lackadaisical (noted by his collection of white flags he uses to surrender), he often depends on Germany to resolve issues. Nods to Italian culture include his artistry and recurrent portrayal of pasta and pizza. He has an older brother, who represents southern Italy and who is commonly known as Italy Romano.

He has been known to make blatant sexual comments at every opportunity. France maintains a bit of facial hair because he feels it makes him look like a big brother. He is often pictured carrying a rose.

南韓新一代入運動營戒網癮

這相信是南韓甚至是世界上第一個戒除「網癮」的訓練營，協助人們脫離「網中人」的生活。
在南韓， 90% 家庭連結上網，打遊戲機已成為可以致富的職業，年輕人潮興上網交朋友。網絡大潮下，南韓成為發達的網絡國家了，但不無後遺症：多達 30% 南韓青少年面對上網成癮的危機。

40 萬人有網癮
30% 南韓青少年，即是有多達 240 萬人。他們未滿 18 歲，每天至少上網兩小時，或打遊戲機或與網友聊天。上網兩小時還不算嚴重，他們當中有 40 萬人出現了網癮，特徵包括可以一天上網 17 小時，甚至逃學也要上網，上不到網就會大發脾氣。
為了對症下藥，南韓現時首次出現了戒除網癮營。進入營內的孩子，可做運動，可進行障礙賽，可騎馬，還可學習陶瓷或打鼓，惟獨不准上網。集體的活動，目的只有一個，就是要分散孩子上網的心癮，即使睡覺，孩子都受到監視，以防他們偷偷上網。
參加戒除網癮營是否能戒掉網癮？ 15 歲的李昌雄，一天上網 17 小時，每周逃學兩三次，以補足他因上網霸佔去的睡覺時間。他入營之後，過群體生活，他說以後只會上網 5 小時。

India Bomb Blasts Kill 40, Minister Blames Terrorists

Aug. 26 (Bloomberg) -- Two bombs exploded in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad late yesterday, killing 40 people and injuring another 50. The state's chief minister said the attackers were linked to overseas terrorist groups.

One bomb blew up at a street-side restaurant in the Kothi area of the city, the capital of the state of Andhra Pradesh, while the other rocked an open-air auditorium in the Lumbini Park area, Jeevan Reddy, state minister for roads and buildings, said today in a telephone interview.

``Available information points out that terrorist organizations from Bangladesh and Pakistan are behind it,'' Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy said in a televised briefing today. ``Most of the time, the external terrorist organizations are responsible for'' such attacks. He didn't elaborate, beyond saying that no arrests had been made.

Police defused a third bomb, set to explode at 10:35 p.m. local time yesterday, about three hours after the two blasts, Reddy said after a cabinet meeting in Hyderabad. The roads minister previously said two bombs had been defused.

``This is a terror plot, this is a terror attack,'' Hyderabad's Police Commissioner Balwinder Singh said in a telephone interview. ``But the situation is now under control.''

Muslim Population

Hyderabad has a large Muslim population among its 6.5 million residents. A bomb at a mosque on May 18 killed 11 people when it exploded during Friday afternoon prayers.

The Press Trust of India put the toll at 42 dead, citing police. The restaurant death toll was 32 and the fatalities at the open-air auditorium, where a laser show was going on, totaled 10, PTI said.

The chief minister appealed to people not to believe or propagate rumors and announced compensation payments of 500,000 ($12,000) rupees for the next of kin of those who died. Reddy also pledged a government job to those families that had lost their breadwinner.

Lady Bird Johnson laid to rest

JOHNSON CITY, Texas — Past the yellow tufts of sunflowers that stayed late into summer and the unobscured green hills, past red, white and blue U.S. and Texas flags and dozens of neighbors holding wildflower bouquets, Lady Bird Johnson returned to the place she called "heart's home."

The procession bearing her hearse followed a 65-mile route that she had traveled so often, from Austin to her beloved ranch, where she was buried Sunday next to her husband, former President Lyndon Baines Johnson, who died in 1973.

Along the route, thousands paid tribute to the former first lady, who while belonging to a nation, was especially embraced by these people in lawn chairs, holding umbrellas against the sun, who rose, pulled off their hats and applauded as the 30-car processional passed.

"My passion and love of wildflowers are in part from Lady Bird," said Diane Hayden, who traveled from Austin to watch the cortege arrive in Johnson City. "It's a deep love that goes through and through, and I feel like there's a connection between Lady Bird and me."
